Some News & Updates IV

Just letting everyone know, I have changed the TL group name from TheIronTreeBlooms to The BL Muse to better reflect the blog and content here.

That being said, thanks to some generous Ko-fi donations, Calamity will be ending this month! However, as I am still undecided to whether A) start a new novel project, B) re-pick up an old hiatus novel, or C) increase updates for After 2 Lifetimes and After Becoming The Tyrant.

So, I will be holding a poll on Discord to get a better idea!

After Two Lifetimes I Was Reborn Back Inside A Book CH 109 Touch

The clubhouse was located next to a high-end residential area, with lawns, lakes, and gardens in it. It was a rare quiet, elegant and convenient residential area in the center of Yan City.

Since it was convenient, it would naturally lack a supermarket. The supermarket here was only open to the residents of the residential area and the members of the clubhouse. It was noon at this time, which was when there was less traffic in the supermarket. When Jiang Chen and Shi Fengyue walked in pucjing a shopping cart, they almost suspected that it was only the two of them in the whole supermarket.

You c an fi nd t he la te st cha pte rs at ( th e bl mu se . c o m )

“That was your residence card just now.” Jiang Chen took a box of potatoes, put them in the shopping cart, and said casually when he straightened up.

Shi Fengyue was holding a box of strawberries and looking at it, and casually hummed softly, which could be regarded as an answer. Jiang Chen turned his head to look at him, and even though he had been beside him from the time they went out until now, he still couldn’t help turning his head away and letting out a muffled laugh.

Shi Fengyue was wearing a large and clumsy looking black down jacket that reached down to his calves, but he had a long neck, a small face, broad shoulders and long legs. Even wearing such clumsy looking clothes on he still didn’t look bloated. Even if the down jacket was zipped up to the top, it still exposed the soft neckline of the white turtleneck sweater inside and a fair neck, followed by a sharp jawline and the perfect profile of his face. The owner of this face was staring at the strawberries with no expression, the hand that was not holding the box of strawberries would from time to time, pull at the high collar of the sweater, trying to cover his neck which was exposed to the air.

“Is it that cold?” Jiang Chen had long since discovered that Shi Fengyue was particularly afraid of the cold, but he had seen many people who were afraid of the cold, and this was the first time he had seen someone like Shi Fengyue, “Aren’t you wearing three sweaters underneath?”

Yes, Jiang Chen watched Shi Fengyue put on three sweaters under this down jacket that seemed to be able to withstand the wind and cold of minus ten degrees with his own eyes. But even so, despite the distance from the door to the supermarket being only one kilometer, for the entire walk, Shi Fengyue kept pinching on to his collar and did not let go, trying to prevent even a trace of cold wind from slipping down his neck.

Shi Fengyue squinted at him, and put the strawberries into the shopping cart. As soon as Jiang Chen finished speaking, he shrank his neck and shivered.

“Is it so cold?” Shi Fengyue repeated what Jiang Chen said just now, and the hand that easily clasped the nape of his neck squeezed a little harder, pressing closer to his skin. The distinct wrist bones and slender fingers were as white as ice jade.

Jiang Chen was suddenly attacked by feezing hands. He was surprised but also a little dazed. He leaned forward, trying to avoid his hand: “Why is your hand so cold?”

Shi Fengyue’s hand followed him like a shadow, sticking to his neck the whole time. He lazily pursed his lips and said, “It’s much warmer now.”

“Take it away.” Jiang Chen grabbed the cart handle with one hand, and leaned forward even more. Shi Fengyue’s hands were really icy, not just the skin, but from the inside out, it seemed that even the bones were carved from ice, like cold jade that radiated coolness, cold to the bone.

The two were pushing a shopping cart together, and they were facing each other when they were talking. At this time, Jiang Chen tilted his upper body to avoid Shi Fengyue’s hand, the loose neckline of the down jacket slid to one side, revealing his thin and fair collarbone.

“You don’t have any clothes on inside?” Shi Fengyue lowered his eyes, raised his eyebrows lightly, and his tone seemed surprised.

Jiang Chen dodged, reprimanded him to take his hand away, and at the same time replied: “How is that possible.”

The touch under his palm was delicate and smooth, and the warmth radiated from the palm to the fingertips to his limbs. Shi Fengyue also felt that it would be too much if he continued to tease Jiang Chen, but he couldn’t pull away from the warmth no matter what. When Jiang Chen dodged again, he subconsciously chased after him, and accidentally became forceful, causing the both of them to freeze for a moment.

Shi Fengyue’s Adam’s apple rolled up and down, and the fingers attached to Jiang Chen’s neck unconsciously curled with his breathing. His cold fingertips ran across the raised spine, and a shudder traveled straight up the spine. Jiang Chen couldn’t help but huff softly. He raised his head, his eyes filled with astonishment.

With one raising and the other lowering their heads, the two stared at each other in a daze for a few seconds before they separated abruptly.

The movement was too big, and the shopping cart was pushed aside, slammed into the supermarket shelf, causing several packages of packaged food to fall to the ground, and then rolled out from the space between Jiang Chen and Shi Fengyue.

One was rubbing his fingertips subtly, the other was covering his neck with a dazed expression, and no one cared about the shopping cart that had rolled away.

Shi Fengyue hid the look in his eyes, put his hands in the pockets of his down jacket, and turned his head sideways. His Adam’s apple rolled again, and he said in a slightly hoarse voice, “So you’re wearing two sweaters.”

He clearly knew it was just an accident, but when he heard Shi Fengyue’s casual and nonchalant joking tone, somehow, he felt a surge of annoyance, which made him turn his head suddenly, to open his mouth to reprimand and pursue his behavior just now. But when the words came to his lips, his eyes landed on Shi Fengyue’s flushed ears, and he swallowed them down again.

Shi Fengyue put one hand in his pocket, and stared into the distance casually. If one ignored his blushing ears, his side face looked really calm and breezy. Jiang Chen’s eyes flickered slightly, his furrowed brows relaxing a little bit. The light in his eyes flickered several times, and finally he lowered his eyes, his tone a bit absentminded: “Not everyone is as afraid of the cold as you are.”

“Oh?” Shi Fengyue looked back, but only saw Jiang Chen walking past him, “Let’s continue shopping.”

After walking a few steps, Jiang Chen paused, and a young man walked out around the corner. He was pushing a shopping cart, and his eyes were searching the surroundings, as if he was looking for something.

When his gaze swept over, the young man paused, and his eyes widened slightly, as if hesitating in disbelief, but his tone was pure surprise: “Jiang Chen?”

Jiang Chen nodded slightly, took a few steps forward, and stood still one meter away from the boy: “You Jiuyu, why are you here?”

You Jiuyu did not expect that after such a long time, he would meet Jiang Chen in his own community. He seemed to be taller than last time, but his voice was as clear and gentle as ever. He suppressed his accelerated heartbeat and pursed his lips in a smile: “My family lives here, how about you?”

Jiang Chen didn’t notice the light in the other’s eyes, his eyes fell on the shopping cart he was pushing, and he said casually: “Accompanying someone out to buy groceries, the shopping cart you are pushing is the one we just accidentally…..pushed forward.”

“I just saw it roll out, and I was looking for its owner.” You Jiuyu hurriedly returned the shopping cart to Jiang Chen, and the two walked closer because of this. His hands shifted backwards a little and he said in a small voice: “Recently I wrote a song myself…..”

“Who is this?”

Shi Fengyue approached, put one hand casually on the push rod of the shopping cart, glanced lightly at You Jiuyu, and lowered his eyes to ask Jiang Chen.

“You Jiuyu.” Jiang Chen thought for a while, and said, “You should have seen him at He Qianyang’s birthday party last time. He played a piece of violin music.”

“Really?” Shi Fengyue casually looked over, glanced at You Jiuyu lightly, then looked away again, saying with a lazy tone: “I don’t have any impression.”

Jiang Chen was pushing the shopping cart, and when Shi Fengyue came over, he also put one hand on the shopping cart, standing behind him with his arm almost pressing against Shi Fengyue’s chest, not even two centimeters away. When he spoke just now, Shi Fengyue changed his stance and leaned his body forward, seeming to be a distance away from Jiang Chen, but in fact he seemed to breathe right next to his ear when he spoke.

And this standing posture, in You Jiuyu’s eyes, was like Shi Fengyue holding Jiang Chen in his arms.

“Young master Shi.” You Jiuyu greeted a little shyly, and looked at Jiang Chen again, his voice was still soft, a little hopeful: “Jiang Chen, if you have time, can you listen to it for me, the song I wrote.”

Jiang Chen was a little surprised: “You wrote a song yourself?”

You Jiuyu nodded slightly, smiling shyly, but couldn’t help looking at Jiang Chen expectantly.

“I…..” Jiang Chen didn’t have the heart to refuse.

“If you have the time, then make up for all the meals you owed me before.” Shi Fengyue took a bag of cereal from the shelf next to Jiang Chen, threw it into the shopping cart without looking at it, and said in a calm tone.

Jiang Chen swallowed the agreement that was on his tongue, and smiled apologetically: “Sorry, I have a lot of things to do recently, and I don’t really have much time.”

“It’s okay.” You Jiuyu immediately expressed his understanding. Not only was he not unhappy at all, on the contrary he seemed a little more ashamed because he opened his mouth to trouble others. His face flushed and even beads of sweat appeared: “You are in your third year of high school, and you must be very busy, I shouldn’t have mentioned this matter without thinking.”

“Although I will be busy during this time, I should have more time to relax after a while.” Jiang Chen had a good impression of You Jiuyu, and thinking of his experience, he also felt a little sympathetic at the other’s timidnes, “Just give me your number, and when I’m free, let’s make another appointment.”

You Jiuyu’s eyes lit up instantly, “Really?”

Jiang Chen smiled: “Of course.”

You Jiuyu recited his phone number, and Jiang Chen went to take out his phone but touched an empty trouser pocket. He paused, and then remembered that when he was in the suite of the clubhouse just now, after he answered a call from the research institute, he casually placed the phone on the table.

“Sorry, I forgot to bring my phone.” Jiang Chen withdrew his hand, and neatly repeated the phone number that You Jiuyu recited just now, and said, “But I have already remembered your number, and I will save it on my phone when I go back.”

You Jiuyu nodded, took out his mobile phone, hesitated for a bit, and then whispered: “Can I have your number?”

Jiang Chen recited his number, and then said with a smile, “We still have something to do, so we’ll leave first.”

“Okay.” You Jiuyu turned sideways to get out of the way, curved his eyes in a smile, and said in a relaxed and joyful tone, “See you later.”

Jiang Chen nodded and smiled, “See you later.”

When they walked out of You Jiuyu’s sight, it seemed that there were only the two of them left in the supermarket again. Jiang Chen was pushing the shopping cart, but for some reason his attention was focused on the sound of their footsteps. Shi Fengyue’s footsteps were not only very neat, but even the distance of the steps and the lifting of his legs were exactly the same.

“139678XXXXX, 267XXXX…..” Shi Fengyue said suddenly, and recited a series of eleven-digit and seven-digit numbers. After reciting, he paused, looked down at Jiang Chen, and said, “Have you memorized it?”

You c an fi nd t he la te st cha pte rs at ( th e bl mu se . c o m )

Jiang Chen was able to memorize thousands of irregular combinations of numbers and letters at one time, so Shi Fengyue’s list of numbers which did not even reach a hundred could not trouble him at all. He repeated the numbers back to Shi Fengyue.

“Okay.” Shi Fengyue slightly raised the corners of his mouth, pushed the shopping cart forward, and said leisurely: “These are the numbers of my personal mobile phone, work mobile phone, spare mobile phone, and the home phones at the houses I usually live in. Remember to save them all on your phone later.”

Source of Calamity CH 091 Conversation Part 2

The next day.

When Qin Yue received Shen Zhen’s call, he almost didn’t react. For a moment, he didn’t know what happened. Was it an earthquake or a tsunami? Why did Shen Zhen take the initiative to contact him? Take the initiative to invite him to dinner?

Was there some conspiracy? Could it be that Shen Zhen had hired a hitman to kill him?

Sitting on the chair, Qin Yue suddenly laughed at himself. With his current state, Shen Zhen didn’t have to bother to take such a risk.

You c an fi nd t he la te st cha pte rs at ( th e bl mu se . c o m )

Maybe…..he really just wanted to talk to him about the past.

Qin Yue stood up from the chair, walked to the window with his coffee, and looked at the scenery under the office building. From this angle, all the people below were as big as ants. They had worked hard all their lives, but most of them did not make anything of themselves.

He used to be by Qin Xing’s side, feeling a sense of superiority, and felt that no one could compare to him.

Now he suddenly felt that he was no different from the ants in his eyes.

Qin Yue took a sip of coffee, then looked down at the coffee cup. Was the coffee so bitter? Why didn’t he feel it before?

Qin Yue made an internal call and said to the secretary, “Make me a cup of Huangshan Maofeng tea.”

He still remembered that this was Shen Zhen’s favorite tea. When drinking tea with Shen Zhen in the past, he would always drink Shen Zhen’s favorite tea, and ignore his own favorite tea brand.

Time had passed, and thinking about it now, Qin Yue could only sigh.

He no longer remembered how he and Shen Zhen got to this point.

It seemed that inexplicably his relationship with Shen Zhen had become even more distant than that between strangers.

At this moment, Qin Yue received a text message from Su Shiqing.

[Su Shiqing: Ah Yue, I have learned how to cook, come back tonight, I will cook for you.]

With a headache, Qin Yue pressed the phone screen to black.

His feelings for Su Shiqing were complicated now.

On the one hand, he would still be attracted to Su Shiqing.

But on the other hand, he couldn’t get over the fact that Su Shiqing had been kept by Li Zhao.

And he didn’t have the strength to bring Li Zhao down now.

On the contrary, Li Zhao now made trouble for him from time to time, and he could only endure it.

He felt that he still loved Su Shiqing.

But he felt that being with Su Shiqing was too exhausting.

He didn’t know when Su Shiqing would leave again, but he would feel very relaxed when he was with Zheng Xiao.

Just like when he first met Su Shiqing.

Needless to say, when the two sit together, he would feel at peace.

Qin Yue called Zheng Xiao: “I won’t go back for dinner tonight. I have something to do. You can go out to eat by yourself. I’ll transfer the money to you.”

Zheng Xiao responded: “Brother Qin, don’t worry about me, I’m a grown man, I can have a meal anywhere.”

Qin Yue was amused by Zheng Xiao. He sat back on the chair again, and said with a smile: “Remember to eat enough.”

Zheng Xiao knew that Qin Yue was definitely going to meet Shen Zhen, he knew it well, so his mood didn’t change, and he wouldn’t ask stupidly.

Going to see Shen Zhen, Qin Yue suddenly felt a little nervous for some reason.

He hadn’t seen Shen Zhen for a long time, and he didn’t know if there was much difference between Shen Zhen now and before.

When Qin Yue walked into the restaurant that he had made an appointment with Shen Zhen, and was led by the waiter to the table, the moment he saw Shen Zhen, he suddenly had a feeling that things were different.

Everything had changed.

Shen Zhen nodded to Qin Yue: “Have a seat.”

Qin Yue sat down, and the two looked at each other speechlessly. It was Qin Yue who broke the silence first and asked, “How have you been recently?”

Shen Zhen smiled and said, “Without you and Su Shiqing being an eyesore, I’m doing pretty well.”

When Qin Yue heard Shen Zhen’s taunting words, he was not as angry as before. He sighed and said, “You still resent me.”

Shen Zhen asked strangely, “Shouldn’t I?”

Qin Yue looked at Shen Zhen with confusion in his eyes. Up to now, he still didn’t understand why Shen Zhen became alienated from him.

Shen Zhen looked at Qin Yue’s expression, and found that he really didn’t think there was anything wrong with what he did, or how much he did was too much.

Shen Zhen asked him: “Do you still remember how Su Shiqing came to the Qin family?”

Qin Yue nodded: “You brought him.”

Shen Zhen asked him again: “Ask your heart honestly, how did I treat him back then?”

Qin Yue: “You were nice to him at first, but later you targeted him in everything.”

Shen Zhen was amused: “How did I target him, can you tell me?”

Qin Yue was taken aback for a moment, and found that he really couldn’t say anything. In his memory, Su Shiqing always seemed to be aggrieved, because Shen Zhen didn’t like him. But thinking it over in detail, Shen Zhen just distanced himself from Su Shiqing just as he distanced himself from him.

“He thinks I wronged him.” Shen Zhen asked, “You think so too? Don’t you?”

Qin Yue didn’t speak.

Shen Zhen picked up the red wine in hand and took a sip: “We were both living under someone else’s roof, and our surname was not Qin. Why didn’t you sympathize with me like you sympathize with Su Shiqing?”

Qin Yue was taken aback, he had never felt that Shen Zhen was as weak as Su Shiqing.

Shen Zhen: “But I don’t need your sympathy either. Your sympathy is love to Su Shiqing, but an insult to me.”

Qin Yue suddenly said, “You hate Su Shiqing because of me?”

Shen Zhen nodded. He didn’t want to hide it anymore. This was perhaps the only time he talked openly with Qin Yue about the past. He said, “You should also know my feelings for you back then, right?”

Qin Yue nodded.

He had no expression, and people couldn’t make out his emotions at all.

Now Qin Yue didn’t love to smile as much as before.

He always had a straight face, as if the whole world owed him money.

Shen Zhen said, “After Su Shiqing came, how many hours did you spend with me in a week?”

Qin Yue was stunned: “Didn’t we see each other every day?”

Shen Zhen smiled: “Is seeing also called spending time together? Then Qin Shan and Qin Meng and I still see each other every day, and you don’t say more than three sentences to me a day, and each sentence doesn’t exceed five words.”

Qin Yue: “You remember even this?”

Shen Zhen shrugged: “I remembered it so deeply at the time, and I haven’t forgotten it now.”

Qin Yue: “…..”

Qin Yue said: “You hate Su Shiqing because I was close to him?”

Shen Zhen shook his head: “I’m not so ridiculous to this extent, and I didn’t have any close relationship with you. I hated him just because he was full of drama. He once knelt down to beg me, do you remember?”

Qin Yue: “I remember…..”

Shen Zhen: “I still remember him telling me: “You are so good, so excellent, you are better than me in everything, you can find someone better, can you please give me Brother Qin, please?”, I can’t understand his logic. There are so many people better and stronger than him in this world, so because he is weak he is right? And others should give everything to him?”

Qin Yue’s eyes widened. He couldn’t believe that Su Shiqing had said such a thing, and his voice was hoarse: “He wouldn’t say such a thing.”

Shen Zhen raised his eyebrows: “Believe it or not, it’s up to you, and it doesn’t matter to me.”

“I just hate that he always comes to me to seek a sense of existence. Who you like and who you don’t like has nothing to do with me strictly speaking.”

“But he makes me sick, and that’s what’s wrong with him.”

Qin Yue turned his head, and it happened that the waiter brought up the steak at this time. Qin Yue didn’t know why, but felt relieved to be interrupted in their conversation.

Qin Yue asked: “Do you still hate him now?”

Shen Zhen nodded: “It’s not hate, it’s disgust.”

“But he always shows up in front of me to sicken me.”

Qin Yue sighed: “At the beginning, I just felt comfortable being with him. Ah Zhen, you are different from him, being with you will make me feel a lot of pressure.”

This was the first time Shen Zhen heard such words, and said strangely: “Did I put pressure on you?”

Qin Yue shook his head: “You don’t even need to say anything, and I’ll just feel a little out of breath.”

Shen Zhen didn’t speak, he knew that Qin Yue himself couldn’t explain the source of this feeling.

He understood.

Shen Zhen: “I thought people like Su Shiqing was your type. Isn’t the person you’re with now a copy of Su Shiqing?”

Qin Yue was a little embarrassed, but he didn’t deny it, he just said: “Being with Su Shiqing now won’t make me relax, but being with Zheng Xiao will make me feel more relaxed.”

“Ah Zhen.” Qin Yue looked into Shen Zhen’s eyes, “Can we become friends again?”

Shen Zhen shook his head: “No.”

Qin Yue was a little disappointed, but he still asked: “Now that we’re sitting here and talking about the past together, I thought we could restore our previous relationship.”

Shen Zhen said, “What happened in the past cannot be smoothed out with a few words.”

“Qin Yue.” Shen Zhen’s tone was a little cold, “You have followed Uncle Qin since childhood, and you stood above everyone, so you don’t understand what the people below think.”

“Actually, like Su Shiqing, you only love yourself in your heart.”

Shen Zhen: “I came here this time to make things clear to you. The things I gave Su Shiqing back then were all things Su Shiqing coveted. I won’t say how generous I was to him, but I have a clear conscience. Su Shiqing may not have done anything to target me, but his existence itself is targeting me.”

You c an fi nd t he la te st cha pte rs at ( th e bl mu se . c o m )

Qin Yue didn’t speak.

Shen Zhen: “Is there anything else you want to say?”

Qin Yue looked up at Shen Zhen: “You once liked me.”

It was not a question, but an affirmative remark.

Shen Zhen smiled: “It’s like I used to like sweet and sour pork, but I don’t like it now.”

Qin Yue lowered his eyes, and said in a somewhat lonely tone: “Is that so?”

After Becoming The Tyrant CH 112 The Millennium Kingdom

Some things were changing at a frightening pace.

The winter was over, but the situation was not getting better.

Dyde was a small castle in Bressi. Its owner Rob was standing on the tower of the castle. The castle’s flag was replaced with a white one emblazoned with the golden cross a week ago. At the beginning of the “War of God’s Admonishment”, Rob simply and neatly changed the tulip flag hanging from the castle.

Although war was cruel, the plague did not stop because of the war.

You c an fi nd t he la te st cha pte rs at ( th e bl mu se . c o m )

The Black Death, which broke out last winter, had continued, and even a small town like Dyde was shrouded in its shadow. The reason why the Great Lord’s Alliance Army was so vulnerable to the Templar Knights was also inseparable from the Black Death.

There were dead people everywhere, and brave knights were no different from the elderly, women and children in the face of the plague.

In just a few months, a small castle owner like Rob could only watch helplessly as the number of people on his territory decreased day by day, and the spring plowing had reached the point where he didn’t even have enough people to work in the wheat fields. One by one the villages emptied out…and this was happening everywhere in the country of Bressi.

This was because the Bressians had sinned.

Their monarch broke his oath to the Holy Lord, so the Holy Lord sent down divine punishment to punish them.

——This was what the priests said.

Many people believed it. In the “War of God’s Admonishment”, many people who were afraid of the Black Death spontaneously joined the army of the Knights Templar against the Alliance of Lords. Some castles even had their drawbridge lowered by the defenders in the castle.

After the “War of God’s Admonishment”, the priests had completely entered the political machinery of this country.

This was unprecedented, and whether it turned out to be right or wrong depended on today.

Today was the “Forgiveness Day”, the Holy Court declared that the repentance of the Bressians would be forgiven by the Holy Lord, and today would be the day when God forgave the world. The Holy Lord would send down unprecedented miracles to expel the Black Death that hung over the people’s heads.

Rob could admit to himself, although he was a believer, he might not be so devout. However, today he still could not help but to become nervous.

In the church of Dyde Castle, all the priests solemnly lowered their heads and stood in front of the icon. The sunlight falling from the dome was more dazzling than usual. When the first bell struck, the choir began to sing the chapters of the holy book in unison, and everyone raised their hands to draw the cross on their chests.

From the insignificant small castle of Dyde to the bustling port cities, and to the Cathedral of Acellia in the capital of Bressi.

All were waiting.

The believers knelt on the ground outside the church. Too many bodies that died of the Black Death were still yet to be buried in the public cemetery outside the city. The crows circled and the sky was bright. They could not save themselves, so they could only pray to God to save them.

Bressi’s new king, Charles, also knelt outside the church, wearing his crown and bowing his head.

The bell sounded.

There was only one huge bronze bell in the Cathedral of Acellia, but the loud ringing seemed to have collided with the air, and the sound overlapped together, gradually as if the bells of all the churches from all over the country gathered here. People trembled in the sound of the splendid ringing, feeling like a leaf on the raging sea.

Hymns sounded at this time.

The singing of the choir floated from the magnificent cathedral, spiraling upward.

The priests who held the key to the “Door of the Kingdom of God” chanted in unison, they were the apostles of God. This was why the Pope didn’t pay attention to the insignificant voices in Legrand. People would see with their own eyes that the Holy Court, the priests, were indeed the servants of God, and that they indeed possess the power to communicate with the Lord.

They were the intermediary between God and man, the shepherds of all living beings.

In the secret room of the church, caskets containing holy relics were placed beside the Blessed Ones. The brilliance of the relics burst out from the caskets and gathered on the Blessed Ones.

The hymns merged into the sound of the ringing bell, and the people couldn’t help but prostrate further on the ground, reciting the chapters of the holy book together. The sun in the sky was becoming more and more dazzling, the wind was rolling high in the sky, and the thick clouds gathered together, but the color of the clouds was bright white, as if something was brewing.

The hymns echoed between heaven and earth, layer upon layer.

It was as if an angel was responding to the mortal singing from above the clouds.

The Pope with a tall crown suddenly opened his eyes in the Cathedral of Acellia. His wrinkled hand raised the heavy scepter high: “O, Holy Lord! Please have mercy on your believers who are submerged in sin. Please forgive our sins of ignorance and arrogance! O, Holy Lord! We entrust your authority to you, please descend to your land and establish your kingdom!”

The old man with graying hair seemed to possess the power to shake the whole world at that moment.

Priests followed with loud supplications, then followed by the believers.

The voices gathered like thunder, rising upwards.

In the secret room, all the Blessed Ones opened their eyes at the same moment, and their eyes were all as transparent as a mirror, indifferent and emotionless.

The believers rejoiced, they saw a brilliant light burst from the clouds in the sky, the Lord had heard the voices of his believers, and finally sent down His angels to forgive their sins. This was an incomparably great miracle, the seraphim appeared in the clouds, looking down with pity on the mortal beings crawling on the earth.

They were so noble, so holy, and so powerful.

Even the most arrogant heretics, the craziest heretics, after witnessing such a miracle, would kneel down and surrender to the embrace of God.

People suddenly burst into tears.

In Bressi, where the Black Death was ravaging, the Lord forgave their sins and finally sent His angels to save His followers.

Angels flapped their wings, and sunlight leaked through the clouds.

It was as if a white transparent flame was burning close to the ground, and everyone felt as if they were submerged in a hot spring, comfortable and warm, as warm as if their forehead was gently stroked by the Virgin Mary. In this warmth, it seemed that many invisible things were being burned away. The crows that originally pecked at the carrion flapped their wings, and the black clouds of hell were expelled from the world.

The pained and dying patients saw the angel’s light enveloping them, and then they felt the pain disappear in an instant. Those who recovered their health walked out of the house and knelt down to worship the visages of the angels in the sky.

“Holy, holy! King of Kings! Lord of the Kingdom of Heaven!”

The Pope shouted.

“Holy, holy! King of Kings! Lord of the Kingdom of Heaven!”

Everyone shouted in unison.

The Pope’s robes began billowing and made

loud flapping noises. He held his scepter aloft. As the benevolent father of the believers, his eyes were as cold and as deep as the sea.

Who dared to fight against such a force?

Who could stand against such power?!

Before God, before the extraordinary, all mortals were ants!

……………………

On this day, on the west side of the Abyss Strait.

On the ghost ship “Jenny”, the witch was wearing thick spectacles, and Hawkins sat on the mast; in Metzl Castle, Dean Anil kneeled down in St. Wyth Cathedral, and General Johan had his hand on the hilt of his sword. The astrologers looked afraid and anxious, and the Queen Mother Eleanor stood in front of the tombstone of William III; near the royal city, General Sheehan led the Iron Rose Cavalry in the direction of Bomari Castle…..

And there were more people who didn’t know what happened, subconsciously looking at the eastern sky.

They only felt a kind of trembling power, which made people subconsciously want to prostrate to the ground.

“So that’s a divine miracle.”

The King stood on the highest tower of the Rose Palace, and the high-altitude air currents snapped at his robes. The black stone tower he was in had stood in Rose Castle for many years. The walls of the tower were thick and cold. Even though the winter had passed, it still carried a daunting chill. As if this was the fangs of the dragon.

After more than a thousand years, the power of God descended to the world on such an unprecedented scale for the first time. The King and the Devil stood on the top of the tower and watched. Across the Abyss Strait, they stood opposite that terrifying, overwhelming force.

“As expected of the Holy Court that has been accumulating power for more than a thousand years.”

The Devil stood behind the King.

This remark should have been a sigh of amazement, but the tone of the Devil’s voice was more like a nonchalant gambler, smiling casually and frivolously in front of his enemies. To a certain extent, the King and the Devil shared a similarity——they were both madmen who when facing God, not only did not bow down, but drew their swords.

“And you?”

The Devil asked the King with a smile.

“The Holy Court has begun, will you begin as well?”

The King turned his head to look at him: “Don’t you already know what we actually want to do? Why are you still so excited?”

“Don’t misunderstand Hell, Your Majesty.” Not only did the Devil not restrain himself, he laughed even more happily, “What is Hell? There is no order, no morality, all chaos and evil gathers there. Hell has never been a good place, do you really think real denizens of Hell would hold love for it and unite as a family?”

“No.”

“The demons in hell have always had desires in their hearts, and the rules there are that there are no rules.”

The Devil took the rose tucked into his breast pocket and handed it to the King. Even by human standards, the Devil was exceptionally handsome. It was just that his complexion was too pale and his aura too wicked, his handsome looks were like a sharp knife that one knew was poisoned at first glance. Beneath the elegance laid the quality of madness.

“If you’re powerful enough, your rules are Hell’s rules.”

He smiled.

The King looked at him for a while, then accepted the rose that he handed over.

The Devil hummed an old ditty with joy.

He climbed out of the deepest part of the Wall of Insects, which was the truest portrayal of hell. In hell, there was only massacre and the winner was king. All human morality and principles were insignificant in hell. And he accepted only one hell.

A short-lived hell that operated according to the King’s will.

“Let us begin, Your Majesty.”

The Devil said.

The King turned and walked towards the stone table in the middle of the tower, where the gift given to him by the Devil was placed on top–—the box that was said to be the key to the Millennium Kingdom. The moment the King turned around, the Devil held a black umbrella in his hand, while the King held a dark red rose in his hand.

They stood opposite each other, like the two parties of an ancient contract.

The Devil looked in Bressi’s direction and hummed an ancient ditty softly.

An ambition.

In the legendary age long ago, at first the Rose family just didn’t want to live like ants, so they killed the evil dragon. But later, the Rose family discovered that even after the dragon died, there was still more extraordinary power to make mortals become puppets and slaves.

You c an fi nd t he la te st cha pte rs at ( th e bl mu se . c o m )

They wanted equality, but the dragon didn’t give it to them, the gods didn’t give it to them, and no one in the sky or on the earth would give it to them.

So, then they birthed an ambition.

An ambition only a madman could have:

If nobody would give them equality, then they didn’t need to be given equality. They would make it so that mortals would be the masters of all extraordinary powers!

They would have the voice of mortals echo in the long river of history and never die!

After Two Lifetimes I Was Reborn Back Inside A Book CH 108 Grocery Shopping

After Zhang Lei finished speaking, Yu Yi and the woman looked at Jiang Chen. The woman’s eyes lit up, and there was a hint of hope in her eyes. She really wanted to say something immediately, but she didn’t know Jiang Chen well, so even though the corners of her mouth twitched she was still unable to open her mouth.

Yu Yi didn’t know about the relationship between Jiang Chen and Shi Fengyue. Hearing what Zhang Lei said suddenly, the first thing she did was not to think that her friend’s research might be saved, but to question whether Shi Fengyue was really close to someone enough to help just because they asked him to. She was a few years older than Shi Fengyue, but graduated a few years later than him. When Shi Fengyue submitted the patent, she was still in college. After Shi Fengyue went abroad, she entered the research institute and logically speaking the two shouldn’t have any interaction.

You c an fi nd t he la te st cha pte rs at ( th e bl mu se . c o m )

However, her postgraduate mentor was a student of Professor Xiang, and she had heard about Shi Fengyue several times from her mentor, hearing a lot of his deeds after entering the research institute. Later she also met Shi Fengyue by chance, so she could be said to know a little bit about Shi Fengyue.

A man who was so indifferent that he didn’t care about his former teacher or his own research achievements, how could he come here just because someone asked him to? It was simply a dream.

“Yiyi.” The girl looked at Yu Yi, hoping that she could speak for her.

Yu Yi frowned slightly, looked at her friend reassuringly, and turned to Zhang Lei, this time with a more aggressive tone: “The matters of the navigation team are handled by the navigation team, and Jiang Chen’s interpersonal relationship is also Jiang Chen’s own business. Why are you minding things that have nothing to do with you? And even also clearly arranging everything, don’t you think you’re reaching too far?”

Zhang Lei didn’t expect Yu Yi to become angry. Being made to lose face with just a few sharp words, a hint of annoyance flashed in his eyes, but after all, they were colleagues of many years. Although he refused to accept Jiang Chen, he didn’t want to destroy his relationship with other colleagues. Compared with the mocking tone he had when speaking to Jiang Chen before, his tone now was a little more familiar and friendly: “I didn’t mean that, isn’t it because the navigation team is in a quandary? They’ve been working on such a big project for so long, and we all know how awful it feels to have such hard work suddenly ending up in vain. We are all colleagues here, since Jiang Chen has the connections, let him help.”

“Then how are you sure that Jiang Chen is familiar with Shi Fengyue?” Yu Yi knew Zhang Lei’s intentions, which was why she didn’t believe Zhang Lei’s words at first. She knew how many underhanded things have been done by him ever since Jiang Chen became the head of the project. If it wasn’t for seeing that Jiang Chen didn’t take it seriously, and his behavior didn’t slow down the progress of the research, she would have said something long ago.

She didn’t say anything before, but now she said: “We’ve been in the same team for so long, you’ve been making trouble for Jiang Chen this whole time, can’t you just be more open-minded? Even if he’s younger than you, and he’s more capable than you, if you’re a man then be jealous blatantly, instead of pulling these juvenile schemes.”

There were researchers coming and going in the cafeteria, not just ordinary researchers, but also the heads of various laboratories or project leaders, and the leaders of the research institute. Usually, even if there were many people, it couldn’t be called noisy, so even if one spoke at a normal volume, a few words could still be heard at the next table.

When Yu Yi spoke just now, she didn’t control her volume, but her voice wasn’t too loud either. However, the movement here had already attracted the attention of the two tables next to them and now that she was speaking, some from the table next to them looked over.

The environment of the research institute was simpler than that out in society. It was not that complicated. Everyone had their own projects, and they all worked in the top research institute in the country. Everything depended on one’s abilities. Even if they were in the same group, there was not much competition. Such a peaceful environment naturally lacked the nourishment of gossip, and it was precisely because of this that Shi Fengyue, who had barely been to the research institute a few times, would be mentioned many times, because there was no hot topic other than academic discussions for them to chat about.

At this time, smelling gossip, the people at the next table pretended to be eating seriously, but actually scooted over, and secretly prepared to squat down and witness the showdown.

“Juvenile schemes?” Zhang Lei didn’t expect Yu Yi to be so merciless to him. He just took a step back and handed her a ladder to go down. But she not only did not appreciate it but went even further: “Which of your eyes see that I am pulling juvenile schemes on him? And jealousy, what a joke, why should I be jealous of him, jealous of his good looks?” At the end, he sneered to express his disdain.

Jiang Chen did not speak from the beginning to the end, but as the protagonist at the center of the topic, he could feel the eyes of his surroundings.

“You know what you’re jealous of.” Yu Yi withdrew her gaze, looked at Jiang Chen, and said comfortingly, “Don’t worry about it.”

“It’s okay.” Jiang Chen knew that Zhang Lei was dissatisfied with him, and he didn’t take his dissatisfaction to heart. When he was in the Imperial Research Institute in his last life, he was a thorn in the eyes of many people. In fact, because of his research project and the political situation, many assassination attempts had been made on him. In contrast, Zhang Lei, who only babbled a few words and didn’t deliberately make mistakes at work, was a colleague who he could get along with in his eyes.

However, it was always inappropriate to cooperate in a project team and maintain such a hostile attitude forever.

Jiang Chen thought for a while, and said to the woman next to Yu Yi: “I’ll go and ask Shi Fengyue for you, but I can’t guarantee whether he will help, is that okay?”

The woman was taken aback, and nodded again and again: “Yes, yes, of course, please.”

“It’s no problem.” Jiang Chen put down his chopsticks, picked up the tray and said, “I’ve finished eating, and I’ll tell you the result in the afternoon.”

“Thank you.”

Looking at Jiang Chen’s back as he walked away, Zhang Lei snorted coldly: “Not very old, but he could put on airs.”

Yu Yi was used to Zhang Lei picking at every little fault, and even if there was no fault he would still come up with one. So she ignored him and turned around. Seeing her friend who looked much calmer, she sighed slightly in her heart. If Shi Fengyue was that easy to be invited over, how could the navigation department make such slow progress? It seemed that her friend was destined to be disappointed.

When Jiang Chen called Shi Fengyue, Shi Fengyue had just finished an operation.

His voice was a little sleepy and also a little hoarse, as if he hadn’t drank water for a long time: “What’s wrong?”

Knowing that Shi Fengyue might not be resting yet, Jiang Chen cut to the chase and said, “I want to ask you for a favor.”

“What favor?” Probably because he was sleepy, Shi Fengyue’s voice was lazy and a little dazed, even so he did not forget to fight for his rights: “How many meals?”

Jiang Chen remembered how many meals he still owed Shi Fengyue, paused for a while, and suddenly laughed. When the debt was a lot, just one more was no longer overwhelming. In any case, he owed the other so much, so why not begin to pay it off in person now.

“When are you off?”

“There will be no surgery tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.”

“There’s something I want to talk to you about.”

“When?”

“You decide.”

“It doesn’t matter, as long as it’s in the afternoon.” With the sound of fabric rubbing, Shi Fengyue seemed to be nestling in the sofa, and his voice became even lazier: “I need to catch up on sleep in the morning.”

“Then tomorrow afternoon.” Jiang Chen thought for a while, and before hanging up the phone, he said, “Remember to eat before going to bed.”

Shi Fengyue seemed to laugh, “Understood.”

The next day.

The place that Jiang Chen and Shi Fengyue made an appointment at was a club, which was opened by Li Nanfeng. Shi Fengyue had a suite here exclusively for him, and he slept here last night. Because he had notified the front desk, as soon as Jiang Chen entered, he was led directly to the door of Shi Fengyue’s suite.

He knocked on the door, and about a minute later, the still sleepy man with disheveled hair falling into his eyes opened the door. He casually turned sideways to let him in, poured himself a glass of water and after he finished drinking, his eyes were a little more awake.

“What do you want to drink?”

“I’m not thirsty.” Jiang Chen looked at him, wondering if it was the fluffy hair or the soft cotton pajamas. At this moment, Shi Fengyue didn’t seem to possess the same aggressive aura when he was awake at all, and that overly good-looking face became particularly eye-catching without the sharpness of his aura, “What time did you sleep yesterday?”

“Forgot.” Shi Fengyue yawned, gulped down the hot water in the cup. As if he hadn’t woken up yet, his long eyelashes were half drooping, and the steam from the hot water blurred his features a bit, unexpectedly making him appear endearing and youthful, the aura surrounding him becoming soft and gentle. After slowly drinking a glass of water, he seemed to finally wake up with the hot water in his stomach, and when he raised his eyes, the light in his eyes became different, “The research institute is so busy and you still came to find me, what do you want me to help you with? “

“You should know about the navigation team of our institute.” Jiang Chen also threw away the momentary feeling of weirdness just now, and began to talk business. After relaying the things about the navigation team, he said: “They want you to go and have a look and help analyze where it went wrong.”

Shi Fengyue didn’t even think about it, flatly refusing: “I’m not going.”

Jiang Chen was not surprised. In his impression, Shi Fengyue was not someone who would easily agree to other people’s requests, but he still asked, “Why?”

“They want to ask me to help, so how come it’s you coming to make the request?” Shi Fengyue put down his cup and sat down opposite Jiang Chen, “I remember you are not from the navigation team, right?”

“A member of my team has a good relationship with a researcher in their team, so I want to ask you for help.”

“Male or female?”

“Ah?” Jiang Chen caught up with Shi Fengyue’s sudden jump in the topic: “They’re both women.”

“The one in your group.” Shi Fengyue only thought for a moment, and said, “Yu Yi?”

“Yes.” Jiang Chen nodded subconsciously, and then realized: “Do you know her?”

Shi Fengyue: “Professor Xiang’s student’s student, I met her once.”

This was the first time he heard Shi Fengyue mention old Mr. Xiang. Jiang Chen raised his eyes to look at him, and Shi Fengyue said: “I’m free tomorrow, I can go and see.”

This was unexpected. Jiang Chen raised his eyebrows: “Didn’t you say you won’t go before, so why are you planning to go all of a sudden now?”

“I changed my mind.” Shi Fengyue didn’t show the slightest embarrassment at all at going back on his decision, and was even very righteous: “You owe me so many meals, when will you pay them back?”

Jiang Chen looked around: “How about I treat you to have a meal in this clubhouse?”

Shi Fengyue snorted: “You are really perfunctory.”

“What is not perfunctory?”

“Do you know how to cook?”

Jiang Chen said truthfully, “Yes.”

Shi Fengyue looked at him in surprise: “You do?”

You c an fi nd t he la te st cha pte rs at ( th e bl mu se . c o m )

Jiang Chen smiled and nodded. If he was at this time in the previous life, he would definitely not be able to. Even if his family situation changed dramatically, his parents never let him worry about food and clothing. But for a long time afterwards, he had no family and could only search for the feeling of home by replicating the taste of his parents’ home-cooked food.

Like this, over two lifetimes, he had thirty years to practice.

So, of course he knew how to cook.

Shi Fengyue stood up and made a decision without giving Jiang Chen a chance to refuse: “Let’s go grocery shopping.”

Source of Calamity CH 091 Conversation Part 1

Shen Zhen didn’t expect Zheng Xiao to appear in front of him.

He saw Zheng Xiao waiting under the tree at the entrance of the company after getting off work.

Zheng Xiao had a good aura and didn’t appear vulgar at all. He looked very young, and even though he had already graduated from university, he looked like a student who had just entered university.

You c an fi nd t he la te st cha pte rs at ( th e bl mu se . c o m )

“Brother Shen.” After seeing Shen Zhen, Zheng Xiao hurried up to greet him. He had a smile on his face, and his whole person seemed to be bathed in the sun. When Shen Zhen looked at him, he felt that Su Shiqing at his best was not even as good as him.

The more he was like this, the more uncomfortable Su Shiqing would be when he saw him.

Shen Zhen smiled and said, “What’s the matter?”

In fact, Shen Zhen didn’t hate such people, otherwise he wouldn’t have taken Su Shiqing out of the Su family back then.

Seeing Shen Zhen’s expression, Zheng Xiao was clearly relieved.

Before he came, he was always afraid that Shen Zhen would hate him.

After all, he now also knew how similar he was to Su Shiqing.

Every time he saw Su Shiqing, he couldn’t help but inhale sharply.

“I would like to invite Brother Shen to sit in the coffee shop with me, do you have time?” Zheng Xiao was very polite.

Shen Zhen looked at the time. It was only four o’clock in the afternoon. His working hours were different from ordinary employees. When there was no major business, it was basically from nine thirty in the morning to three in the afternoon.

The working hours he set were flexible working hours. Except for the personnel, employees who had business tasks only needed to arrive at the company before 12 noon and work for eight hours a day.

Therefore, the employees had a good impression of him, and felt that Shen Zhen should be regarded as the most Zen boss.

When the business was busy, overtime wages were paid by the hour, and no one had any complaints. If the overtime hours   could be shortened, there would even be bonuses.

Shen Zhen did not put too much pressure on the employees when managing the company.

Recently, he had hired special aunties to the company to cook meals for the employees, and even hired aunties to take care of pets, encouraging employees to bring their pets to the company, and there was even a special pet activity room.

After this set of operations, the employees almost loved him to death.

Shen Zhen nodded at Zheng Xiao: “Okay, let’s go.”

The coffee shop that Zheng Xiao chose was in an alley not far from Shen Zhen’s company. It was renovated very nicely but unfortunately there was not a lot of customer flow. Most were residents in the area so business could only improve after the nearby office workers got off work in the evening.

They sat in a booth, after all, the sound insulation effect of the open seats was not good.

“Last time I heard Brother Qin mention that you like to drink tea.” Zheng Xiao smiled ingratiatingly at Shen Zhen, “But I don’t know what kind of tea you like to drink.”

Shen Zhen: “You don’t need to be so polite, just order me a cup of green tea.”

A shop like this would not have his favorite tea, besides, how many kinds of tea could a coffee shop offer?

Zheng Xiao ordered a cup of cappuccino for himself, and a cup of green tea for Shen Zhen.

After the waiter left, he looked at Shen Zhen anxiously, hesitated for a long time, but finally said: “Mr. Su has been living in Mr. Qin’s house recently.”

That house was originally where Qin Yue let him live after he was with Qin Yue.

He was currently teaching French to middle and high school students in a training institution. He majored in a minor language, and the salary he got was not very low. It happened that this house was very close to the training institution. In addition, he himself had special feelings for Qin Yue other than his money, so he started to live together with Qin Yue.

He never thought that Su Shiqing would actually have the face to move in again.

Originally he wanted to move out, but felt that if Su Shiqing had the face to stay, why should he move out?

Besides, Qin Yue had never entered Su Shiqing’s room.

Usually at home, he cooked for Qin Yue in the morning, and afterwards, Qin Yue would drop him off at the training institution and then go to the company by himself.

After he and Qin Yue get off work in the afternoon, Qin Yue would drive over to pick him up.

Even if Su Shiqing moved in, their routine did not change, which gave Zheng Xiao hope.

It was just that Su Shiqing would mooch off the food he made every day. After he cooked the meal, Su Shiqing would sit at the dining table shamelessly, taking it for granted. Zheng Xiao wanted to yell at him, but he was afraid that Qin Yue would be angry, so he could only hold back.

“Mr. Su always thinks that I snatched Brother Qin.” Zheng Xiao felt that it was hard to talk about these things, but when he thought that he had already come begging Shen Zhen, it didn’t make any sense to be so pretentious, so he could only blurt it all out, “Actually, I now have a sum of money in my hand, and the debts that should be paid are almost paid off, so I can already leave.”

Shen Zhen: “Then why don’t you leave?”

As the kept lover party, no matter in terms of emotion or status, he was naturally at a disadvantage. He had no equal status with Qin Yue, so how could they talk about love?

Even Su Shiqing back then was smart enough not to accept Qin Yue’s gifts at the very beginning.

He would only pretend to be pitiful, and then he and Qin Yue would quietly give things to him as if they were bespelled.

At that time, Shen Zhen would use “these are things I don’t want” as an excuse.

Qin Yue would borrow someone else’s hand to give the gifts to him.

That was why Su Shiqing felt that Shen Zhen looked down on him, and probably insulted him with things that Shen Zhen “didn’t want”.

——Though he was very happy when he accepted the things.

Zheng Xiao lowered his head: “I’m not afraid of appearing like a joke, I…..towards Brother Qin…..”

Shen Zhen frowned slightly: “You are in love with Qin Yue?”

Zheng Xiao nodded with difficulty, he knew the relationship between Shen Zhen and Qin Yue before.

He still remembered that Su Shiqing once said to him:

“Ah Yue even gave up on Shen Zhen for me, do you think you can compare to Shen Zhen?”

Zheng Xiao was rendered speechless by these words.

Shen Zhen had a better family background than both him and Su Shiqing, and he and Qin Yue also grew up as childhood sweethearts. He was also good-looking and had a good figure. He still remembered that when he saw Shen Zhen, he felt that whatever such a person wanted, others would offer it to him on a silver platter.

Although he did not want to, Zheng Xiao still had to admit that sometimes Su Shiqing’s words really hit the nail on the head.

Zheng Xiao said in a low voice: “I know, maybe in the eyes of Brother Shen and Brother Qin, Su Shiqing and I are the same kind of people…..”

Shen Zhen smiled and said, “I don’t think so.”

Zheng Xiao looked up at Shen Zhen.

Shen Zhen said: “You are smarter than Su Shiqing and know to be tactful. More importantly, you have what Su Shiqing once had, but now he doesn’t have.”

Zheng Xiao looked at Shen Zhen stupidly.

Shen Zhen sighed inwardly.

“Brother Shen, I came to you because I had no choice.” Zheng Xiao lowered his head and said, “Recently, I can clearly feel that Brother Qin is becoming more and more impatient with me, and Su Shiqing’s relationship with Brother Qin is also becoming closer and closer. Sometimes, Brother Qin would not return to sleep in our room, and instead go out to open a hotel room alone.”

Shen Zhen: “That’s your business. Even if you come to me, what can I do for you? Tie Qin Yue to your bed? Or break his legs for you?”

Zheng Xiao said in a panic: “No, Brother Shen, I don’t mean that.”

“I…..I just thought, maybe I can help you, and you can help me too.” Zheng Xiao smiled at Shen Zhen, in a lowly way that he himself might not even have noticed.

Shen Zhen was in a daze for a moment, had he ever been as lowly and inferior as Zheng Xiao before?

Had he also thought that so long as Qin Yue would change his mind, he was willing to do anything?

Putting himself down to the lowest, but still couldn’t keep the person who was about to leave.

Just as Shen Zhen wanted to say “I can’t help you”, Zheng Xiao said again: “I…..I know one thing.”

Shen Zhen: “What?”

Zheng Xiao said softly: “Su Shiqing told me while demonstrating against me before that when he first arrived at the Qin family manor, he took a necklace from Brother Shen. You thought it was Brother Qin who took it, and you even had a big fight with Brother Qin.”

Shen Zhen was taken aback: “Necklace?”

It had been so long that Shen Zhen couldn’t remember clearly.

What necklace?

Shen Zhen sat there, lowered his head and thought for a while, then slowly remembered.

The necklace that Zheng Xiao mentioned seemed to be a birthday present given to him by Qin Xing in a certain year, and he had kept it safely all the time.

After all, Qin Xing was his idol at that time.

As a low-key and introverted fan, he couldn’t chase Qin Xing like one would chase a celebrity, so he could only keep the things Qin Xing gave him safely and properly.

Although it was given to him every year.

Shen Zhen recalled the past. He put the necklace in the cabinet at that time. After all, he felt that he was a boy, and it seemed strange to wear a diamond necklace. He prepared to keep it in storage and maybe wear out on Qin Xing’s birthday.

At that time, he felt that he should have privacy, so no one else could enter his room, and he had to be present even for cleaning.

And the only person who could enter his room when he was not present was Qin Yue.

After the necklace disappeared, he went to find Qin Yue, but Qin Yue naturally denied it, and he also felt that Qin Yue was not a person who would steal things.

Qin Yue was also angry at the time, thinking that Shen Zhen thought of him as an inferior person, and the two had a fight.

…..So it was Su Shiqing who took it?

Shen Zhen showed a disgusted expression.

At that time, Su Shiqing already dared to steal things?

Zheng Xiao said in a low voice: “I also called him a thief.”

“But he said that he didn’t think about stealing anything, he just thought it looked pretty, so he took it back to his room and admired it carefully.”

“But you found out and in order not to be misunderstood as a thief by you, he didn’t return the necklace to you.”

Shen Zhen: “…..”

As expected of Su Shiqing, ordinary people really couldn’t possess this kind of logic.

Zheng Xiao said again: “Brother Shen, I have no other way…..”

Shen Zhen knew that Zheng Xiao wanted him to hate Su Shiqing even more, and then help him.

Although he saw through it, Shen Zhen didn’t say anything.

Since Su Shiqing was looking for death himself, Zheng Xiao also came begging him, and Shen Zhen was not a forgiving person, he smiled and said, “How do you want me to help you?”

A gleam of joy appeared on Zheng Xiao’s face: “Thank you, Brother Shen!”

“I was thinking, Shen Zhen, can you call Brother Qin out for a meeting.” Zheng Xiao said, “And then air out the things about the past with Brother Qin.”

The smile on Shen Zhen’s face was still there. He didn’t want to deal with Qin Yue, not because he was avoiding the other, but because he only felt disgust when he saw Qin Yue now.

He felt that his past self who loved Qin Yue and almost lost himself in the process was a brain-dead retard.

Seeing that Shen Zhen’s expression was not good, Zheng Xiao quickly said, “It’s alright if you don’t want to make the call, I…..”

Shen Zhen said, “I will ask him out to talk.”

It was time to let go of the past.

Shen Zhen looked at Zheng Xiao with a smile.

He had always been unwilling to face Qin Yue directly.

Although he said it was due to disgust, he knew it was because he was still angry and felt treated unjustly.

Since the honest conversation with Qin Xing, this anger had dissipated.

Whether Qin Yue’s life was good or not, he didn’t want to bother anymore.

He was going to reconcile with his anger.

You c an fi nd t he la te st cha pte rs at ( th e bl mu se . c o m )

As for Su Shiqing——he should wish for his own blessing.

“Thank you Brother Shen.” Zheng Xiao stood up and bowed to Shen Zhen in a polite manner.

His expression was very sincere.

When Shen Zhen left, he looked back at Zheng Xiao, wondering in his heart, whether this Zheng Xiao was a second Su Shiqing, or a second version of himself.

But either way this had nothing to do with him.
